Waiting with Hope: A Quiet Day for Advent

Saturday 25th November, 10.30am-4pm, Church Centre, Christ Church, 6a Morningside Road, Edinburgh
Cost £30 (£20 concession) includes lunch

We all know what it’s like to wait – the tension, or boredom, or dread. But the people in the Advent story were waiting with hope for a promise to be fulfilled – they were not just waiting, they were expecting. As Advent begins, this Quiet Day is an invitation to pause and make space in our hearts for this season, to ponder what it means to wait with hope even in difficult times, to pray with open hands for ourselves and for our world.

The Quiet Day is designed to be complementary to the series of online Advent Reflections, A Woman of Courage, so people can participate in either one or double the richness and do both!

The day will draw on a mixture of reflective approaches and creative material including art, poetry and music, and will include guided reflections and individual quiet time. Lunch is included, as is coffee and cake. Register here or email info@heartinpilgrimage.org.uk.
