Rediscovering Wonder

Online Reflection Series for Advent 2025

Starts from November 28th, £25/£30 with printed booklet

With all that life throws at us, it can be hard to hold on to a sense of wonder. Yet, the Christmas story is full of surprises, amazing events which touch ordinary lives, from a sky full of angels to a newborn baby. This series of Advent Reflections is an invitation to rediscover wonder and what it has to teach us: to be open to possibilities, not be afraid to ask questions, to live with everyday mysteries and be willing to accept unexpected gifts… and to reconnect with the God of surprises.

This series features a new reflection to listen to each week along with a selection of other material to read and ponder during the week. The reflections are designed to create quiet spaces in a busy season, and draw on poetry, art, music, Scripture and other wisdom writing. There is enough material for daily reflections, or you can dip in for longer or shorter periods as time allows. All the printed material (including transcripts of the audio reflections) is available in an attractive A5 size booklet — if you would like to receive this, please select this option when you book.

The Advent Quiet Day, Star of Wonder, will complement this series, but both are also designed to stand alone.

You can register and pay for the Advent series by following the links on this page. If you have any questions or need any help booking, please email info@heartinpilgrimage.org.uk to secure your booking. Book by Monday 24th November to receive your booklet before Advent begins.

No one should be prevented from taking part in this retreat due to cost. If it would be helpful to pay-what-you-can (or pay nothing!) please get in touch on info@heartinpilgrimage.org.uk. Any donations received will go towards making the retreat possible for others, again, please email for details. Image on this page by Klemen Vrankar on Unsplash
