Retreat Packages for Lent 2026

“I value being able to spend as much time as I need on each week’s content.”

“The range of material feels like a nourishing feast.” “Wonderfully uplifting.”

Choose the retreat package which feels right for your journey through Lent. Heart in Pilgrimage retreats are designed to be flexible. Each one has a guiding theme, and offers an audio reflection for each week in Lent and a selection of other material to dip into throughout the week, or use in a more extended prayer time.

The retreats come with a printed booklet which includes transcripts of the audio and all the additional material. You can also choose to receive this online as a PDF if you prefer – just tell us when you book. All packages cost £30. If you have any questions, please email us on info@heartinpilgrimage.org.uk

Repetition Rate: Our friend Ignatius of Loyola loved a repetition! He believed there were always more riches to be gained. If you would like to repeat a retreat you’ve done before, choose the Repetition Rate of £15.

Wisdom from the Desert

“I have been enriched by this journey.”
In the early days of the church, the desert became a crucible for spiritual growth. This retreat draws on the wisdom of the men and women who sought the spirituality of the desert and asks how their insights continue to speak to us today, exploring themes like Solitude and Silence but also Encounter and Community. We might discover, as they often did, that what you learn in the desert is not what you expect!

The Heart’s Hunger

“Inspiring, generous and humbling.”
What deep longings stir beneath the ebb and flow of everyday life? This retreat is an invitation to reflect on how to hear the deepest longings or our hearts, and how they might lead us to encounter more of the God who longs for us. It explores how our longings can become stars to navigate by, and what we need to sustain and nourish us on our journey.

I Lift My Eyes: Seeking God in the Natural World

“Beautifully structured.”
“Simply taking time to slow down and look was the best gift.”

It’s easy to go through life with our heads down, just getting through the day. This retreat is an invitation to lift our eyes, to look – really look – at what is around us. Can we read the signature of the creator in the hills, the trees, in the feathers of a bird, the flowers in a garden? How do we get to know the God we meet in a complex, fragile, surprising world?

The Sower and the Seed

“The words and images have all been nourishing to the soul.”
Spring: a season of sowing seeds and watching for green shoots. A time for noticing new growth and wondering what has germinated in the long winter months. A time to think about what we plant, what is planted in us and what is the ground of our being. To shed new light on familiar parables and look for seeds of hope in difficult times. And to consider the Sower, in whose hands new life flourishes.
